Panel discussion: Tackling Climate Change in South-East Asia : COP21’s first results and beyond Thursday 10 December, 7pm, Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur
On the eve of COP21’s closure, the fight against climate change will be suspended on the ongoing negotiations in Paris.
Bringing together prominent representatives of political circle, civil society and journalism, this panel discussion is intended to be a window on the final negotiations of the COP21 and their likely implications for Malaysia and ASEAN more widely. The follow-up of COP21 and the monitoring of its conclusion will also be considered, including the crucial role of journalism.
The French journalist Eric Glover, specialised in ecologic topics and based at the CFI in Yangon (agence française de coopération des médias) will be part of the panel discussion with a specialist from ISIS ( Institute of Strategic and International Studies ).
This talk is co-organised by the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur and the Embassy of France in Malaysia.
