As the Malaysian media’s principal contact at the Embassy, the Press Office is in charge of promoting awareness of France’s foreign policy and it handles the Embassy’s public relations. It also seeks to create interest for France among the local media and answers their questions and facilitates their contacts in France.
The Press Office also regularly monitors local news and events in Malaysia.
Finally, the Press Office strives to make France known in all its aspects (institutional, social, economic, cultural etc…). To this end, it replies to questions from the general public and distributes the following publications for free :
