Michelle Yeoh received France’s highest civilian award

The Ambassador of France, Mr Alain du Boispéan on behalf of the president of France Mr Nicolas Sarkozy conferred the Legion of honour to the Malaysian actress, Datuk Michelle Yeoh on October 3. Her fiancé Datuk Seri Jean Todt the executive director of Scuderia Ferrari , her family and her friends were present for the event. France wished to thank Michelle Yeoh for her outstanding film career and for her commitment in the struggle against AIDS and cancer.
After having dedicated her award to her relatives, she promised to be “a worthy representative of France and Malaysia in forging relations between the peoples and the two countries”.
